SDI RESCUE DIVING TECHNIQUES
COURSE FACT SHEET


Course Schedule
One classroom session (approximately 3.5 hours)
Three open water dives (to be completed on any regularly scheduled trip)
Class can be scheduled anytime (call for details)

Prerequisites
SDI Scuba Diver or Equivalent
At least 15 years of age
Provide own equipment and transportation
CPROX 1st certified or equivalent

Special Features
Recognition of potential diving problems
Orientation to accident management
Orientation to new dive sites and locations

Course Investment
Only $120. This fee includes Instructor supervision during all dives, any specialty equipment, and certification for those fulfilling the requirements. Full payment is due at sign-up. There are additional fees for the Rescue Manual and trip, but these will be provided at a reasonable rate.

Student Responsibilities
Purchase the Rescue Diver Manual
Answer the Knowledge Quest Questions
Attend one classroom session
Read and understand the written material
Familiarize yourself with the list of Medical Terms
Monitor air (500 psi min.), depth (80’ max.), time (varies)
Utilize the dive tables or a computer to plan safe dives
Log all dives and request an Instructor signature
Be prompt and prepared to dive (mentally and physically)
Meet with Instructor after dive for debriefing
